As a direct result of the passage of Tropical Storm Earl, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is urging persons to remain vigilant as a Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Jamaica.

Representatives from the National Disaster Risk Management Council (NDRMC), briefed Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness and his Cabinet on the severe weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Earl, at a briefing held at Jamaica House on Tuesday, August 2, 2016

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) wishes to advise that a TROPICAL STORM WARNING remains in effect for Jamaica.

The Office of Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management is advising that a TROPICAL STORM WARNING remains in effect for the island. This means that tropical storm conditions, including possible sustained wind speeds of 63-118 km/h (39-73 mph) are still expected.
